What happens during a data center cleaning?

During a data center cleaning, we provide various professional services to ensure that your IT equipment is optimally cleaned. Below you will find a detailed description of our cleaning process:

 

1. Pre-inspection: Our trained cleaning staff begin with a comprehensive inspection of the server room to assess its exact condition and cleaning requirements. This identifies specific areas that require special cleaning attention.
2. Preparation of cleaning equipment and agents: Based on the assessment from the pre-inspection, the appropriate cleaning equipment, cleaning agents and protective equipment are prepared. This includes special cleaning cloths, cleaning solutions, cleaning brushes and, if necessary, air filters.
3. Dust removal from racks and IT equipment: The cleaning process begins with the thorough removal of dust from racks, servers, switches and other IT equipment. Special antistatic cloths and compressed air are used to effectively remove the dust.
4. Cleaning ventilation slots and cable ducts: The ventilation slots and cable ducts of the server enclosure are then cleaned to ensure optimum air circulation and cooling of the IT equipment. Particular attention is paid to removing dirt and dust.
5. Disinfection of work surfaces and peripheral devices: Keyboards, mice, screens and other peripheral devices are thoroughly disinfected to eliminate bacteria and germs. Special disinfectants are used that are gentle on the technology.
6. Floor cleaning: Finally, the floor of the server room is cleaned to remove soiling.

Once the cleaning process has been completed, a final inspection is carried out to ensure that all areas have been thoroughly cleaned. If required, for example in the event of an insurance claim, we will of course also document all data center cleaning work.
